Power of Present

When was the last time you were fully immersed at the moment, without your monkey-mind dragging you to the past, future, or the bottomless void of thoughts?

If you’re like most people, your answer might be “I don’t even remember,”.

Living in our heads and being prisoners to our wandering thoughts makes us miss the most exciting, fulfilling, and meaningful moment: the present.

The present moment is where all anxieties, doubts, and fears cease to exist. It is the only thing that actually exists and is worth our time. When you put your chatterbox-brain aside, you become fully aware of the present moment. Right now, it is the screen you’re reading this blog on, your nail polish chipping off your fingers, the buzz of the cafe around you, or the comfort of your plush bed sheets.

This is what the raw present moment offers: a whole and complete experience excluding any “story”, meaning, connotation. It is free of the past, never scared of the future, and selflessly at your fingertips. If this is all that truly exists, what are you so afraid of?

Allow yourself to be consumed by the present. The smells, sounds, and textures around you. Get out of your head and become aware of the bubbling world that has always been there, waiting for you to be so one with it.

This perspective instills a deep sense of peace and fulfillment because it becomes clear that the only “absence” or “doubt” or “anxiety” exists in our minds, not the moment itself.

Soak yourself in the present and see what gems it unfolds to you.
