It’s Sunday, again.

UGH, the dreaded week ahead of us almost feels like it’s taunting us in the face while we sit here, overworked and not fully recovered from last week’s chaos.

It’s like we didn’t even get to fully process the previous week with its curveballs being thrown from every angle. Before we know it, a new week is soon to start. Do we ever get to rest? Do we ever get to have a week to finally look forward to for once?

Here are some small things I do to make my week ahead feel personalized, exciting, and enjoyable:

  1. Plan a class or session relating to your interests. I love art and dance, so for me, I would schedule to go to an art class or dance workshop that interests me. I also might find classes for a new hobby, such as flower arrangement, that I want to become more familiar with.
  2. Make sure that the majority of my meetings and responsibilities are related to my priorities. To me, my priorities are good health, humanitarian efforts, medicine/healthcare, and fun. I reassess whether or not I still like the clubs I am currently in, ensure that I have enough gym sessions and healthy meals planned for the week, and have either a party or solo date trip scheduled for myself.
  3. Window shopping. To reach my college campus and come back from it, I have to walk through a long street that has restaurants and stores. I make it a priority to peruse through clothing and accessory stores to see their new weekly inventories. This excites me because it exposes me to new styles that I may like and prioritizes my love for material fashion.
  4. Have at least one outfit I look forward to wearing. Knowing that I will be looking my best at least one day of the week drives me to take better care of my appearance. I also feel more motivated to get out of my apartment and get involved with the world around me.

How do you deal with Sunday scaries? I would love to hear them in the comments below!
