“The only way out is through”.
What is this mystical, elusive “other side” am I talking about? I’m talking about the clarity, confidence, and pep-in-your-step once you go through difficult life experiences.
We all know what struggle is like and, personally, I’ve been there for too long. Emotional pain, low self-worth, and constant inferiority were some of my struggles. After what seems like multiple lifetimes, I can proudly say I’m on the “other side” and I want you to know that you can be there one day, too.
The peace and freedom you are seeking for is not in your next job, next relationship, or even next lifetime. It’s very-much yours and while you may not feel it now, it slowly emerges through the daily motions of your life. While you walk to class, pour your morning cup of coffee, attend your 5th meeting of the day, or take the public transport home, your life experience changes everyday in minute ways.
Paying attention to this has helped me see the beauty of now and how everyday is truly a gift to be treasured. In the moment, things can seem like nothing has changed. When you zoom out, you’ll see that everything has changed.
Trust that your life is working for you and you are supposed to be here.
Keep going.
